Local TV adaptation of one of Snow's trilogy of plays set in Cambridge. The story concerns an unpopular university science lecturer who is accused of fraud and dismissed. When doubts are later raised about the circumstances of the crime, the faculty is torn apart.

Meikle featured in the 1959 film On The Beach and appeared in many Australian TV programs including Adventure Unlimited. Climpson was the long-serving chief news reader for the Seven Network from the 60s until the early 80s'. Archdale was the brother of educator Betty Archdale. Haddrick appeared in innumerable TV and stage productions and is one of our most respected actors. Anne Haddy (1930-1999) appeared in many TV and film productions; she was a presenter on Playschool, and featured in Philip Noyce's Newsfront, Skippy the Bush Kangaroo, Prisoner, and Sons and DaughtersThe Young Doctors, The Flying Doctors and A Town Like Alice but is probably best remembered for her ten-year stint as.Helen Daniels in Neighbours.
