NOTES

Produced in-house by the ABC and filmed mostly on location with some videotaped studio interiors, the storyline followed the exploits of two university students who stumble onto some strange goings-on while camping at Airey's Inlet in Victoria. The pair soon discover that their new friend Mirny is one of a group of aliens from the fifth planet of Antares who have landed on Earth and are preparing for an invasion. The theme music was taken from Rick Wakeman's Six Wives Of Henry VIII. One of the alien characters from this series became the central character in the sequel, Andra, produced in 1976.

Series creator James Davern had been with the ABC since the mid-50s, and worked extensively on Bellbird as well as moonlighting as a writer for Crawford's Homicide. Davern and Bayonas later worked together on the hugely successful A Country Practice in the 1980s. Director Birch had previously directed Bellbird and the early series of GTK, and went on to become an events director of international repute, with credits including the Los Angeles and Sydney Olympics.
